Policy

Editorial policy.

The rules this site is written under: where figures come from, what is never published, how errors are corrected, and how a creator can have their figures taken down.

Published by Seokyoung Oh, publisher and data editor. Set by the publisher and applied to every page on the site.

Page updated October 28, 2026.

Sources

Tax figures. Every rate, threshold, allowance and contribution limit is read from a page published by the tax authority or the statute itself: the IRS and the Social Security Administration, GOV.UK, the Canada Revenue Agency, the German statute texts on gesetze-im-internet.de and the Income Tax Department of India. The figures live in one file, with the source page and the date each one was read, and every page that shows a tax figure draws from that file. Secondary sources such as accounting blogs and news articles are used only to find the primary page, never as the source of a number.

Revenue figures. Every creator revenue figure is read from a YouTube Studio screen the creator showed in a video they published. Each record keeps the timestamp and a link to that moment, the period and currency as the screen showed them, and the result of any cross-check (a second figure on the same screen, or an on-screen sum, that should agree with it). The methodology describes the reading, the labels and the limits.

Worked examples. Scenario figures in the guides and on the home page are computed by the same engine as the calculator and state their assumptions. They are illustrations of the rules, not predictions for any particular person.

What is not published

  • Estimates of a creator's income. If a figure did not appear on the creator's own screen, it is not reported.
  • A value the creator hid on screen, even if it can be glimpsed in another frame.
  • Figures converted between currencies, or compared across currencies as if they were the same.
  • Fictional authors, invented experts or personas of any kind. Every page is published under the real name of the publisher.
  • AI-generated images presented as screens, charts, documents or people.
  • Advice. The site explains rules and shows figures; it does not tell you what to do.

Corrections

If a figure, a date or a description is wrong, write to takehomehub@protonmail.comwith the page address and, if you can, the source that shows the correct value. Reports are acknowledged within 72 hours. A confirmed error is corrected on the page, the page's updated date changes, and a note at the foot of the page records what was changed and when. Pages are not silently rewritten.

Where two on-screen figures disagree and the screens do not explain why, the disagreement is listed with the record as an open item. Open items are not resolved by assumption and are not corrected on request unless new on-screen evidence is provided.

Removal requests

A creator, or a representative who can show they act for the creator, can ask for any figure, record or report about their channel to be removed. Write to takehomehub@protonmail.comfrom an address or account that can be linked to the channel: for example, the business email shown in the channel's About tab, or a message sent from the channel's own account. No reason is required.

Requests are acknowledged within 72 hours, and the records are taken off every public page within 72 hours of the request being confirmed as the creator's. Withdrawn records are marked as withdrawn in the site's private data file rather than deleted, so that counts and history stay honest; they do not appear on any public page or in any public total.

Updates and dates

Every page shows the date it was last updated and, for pages built from data, the date the data was read. Tax figures are re-read from their sources at least once each tax year and whenever a change is announced; the date of the last reading is printed with the figures. Income reports are not updated after publication: a figure describes the screen at the moment it was shown, and the period it covers is stated with it. A figure that was misread from the screen is an error and is corrected under the corrections section above; what is never done is re-reading a later screen to bring a report up to date.

Where software is used

Software does three jobs on this site. It reads figures from the frames of creators' videos and records where each one came from. It runs the tax calculations from the rules file and checks them against hand-worked examples. And AI writing tools draft and edit the text. Drafts are checked against the sources they cite before publication, and the publisher decides what is covered, what is published and what is withdrawn. Nothing is published automatically.

Independence and funding

TakeHomeHub is owned and run by Seokyoung Oh alone. It is free to read and may carry display advertising. No creator, tax firm, tool or other business pays for coverage, and there are no affiliate links. Advertising never decides which creators are reported or which figures are shown. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

Corrections

  • . “Where software is used” said that the publisher writes the pages and checks every claim. AI writing tools draft and edit the text, and drafts are checked against the sources they cite; the section now says so.
